Our Mission
Ferrell Hollow Farm Senior Horse & Cat Sanctuary is a 501c3 Non Profit Organization, which allows for tax exempt donations. Our mission is to advocate and care for special needs senior horses and senior cats in need of a sanctuary setting, that are not afforded adequate care and would be considered at risk of neglect or abuse, if left in their current situation.
Martha
*Sadly Martha passed away August 23, 2019*
Martha is a 25 year old Belgian mare we pulled from a kill pen and she arrived on 1-20-19 along with Bert.
She is a big girl with multiple joint issues. She needs work with haltering and leading, she can be quite the bulldozer, plowing thru whatever she wants! She is very kind and does not mind hands on work or grooming. She was a bit thin upon arrival and covered in matted manure with many pressure sores from laying on hard surfaces.
Martha is living with Bert and Tom in a large pasture. She does have issues with her joints and lays down often.
Martha will require daily medication for her joint issues. Currently Martha's care is costing $450/month for feed, hay, supplements and medications.
