Our Mission
Ferrell Hollow Farm Senior Horse & Cat Sanctuary is a 501c3 Non Profit Organization, which allows for tax exempt donations. Our mission is to advocate and care for special needs senior horses and senior cats in need of a sanctuary setting, that are not afforded adequate care and would be considered at risk of neglect or abuse, if left in their current situation.
Cedrick
Cedrick is a 20 year old Belgian draft horse who arrived 4-20-19 along with Theron from a feedlot. His left eye is missing from a past trauma. He arrived thin and scarred but is a very nice boy. He has a rich red chestnut coat.
He does have some issues with his hocks and hind legs. He is terrified of a farrier for hoof care. He wears a Guardian Eye Mask to protect his eyes during the day. He was started on a joint supplement but will also need anti inflammatory medication to get him more comfortable.
*Sadly Cederick passed away January 31st, 2020 from an untreatable Quittor (cartilage in lower leg) infection.
