Our Mission
Ferrell Hollow Farm Senior Horse & Cat Sanctuary is a 501c3 Non Profit Organization, which allows for tax exempt donations. Our mission is to advocate and care for special needs senior horses and senior cats in need of a sanctuary setting, that are not afforded adequate care and would be considered at risk of neglect or abuse, if left in their current situation.
Buddy
Sadly Buddy passed away April 27th, 2018
Buddy is a 16 y/o, 19.2 hand, black Percheron gelding who needed to be retired at an early age due to severe osteoarthritis and joint issues. He was a carriage horse for many years. A true "Gentle Giant" he fits right in with all of the seniors at the sanctuary. He will never be sound enough to work again, but certainly creates an awesome presence in our pasture! Buddy arrived in December of 2011. He requires daily supplements and anti-inflammatory medication to keep him comfortable.
Buddy has struggled with recurrent subsolar hoof abscesses for over a year and his hoof care rehab is ongoing.
